Bad Art Club is an inclusive space for people to express themselves. The goal of making bad art means that participants can relax and let go of trying. Actively creating together makes genuine connection inevitable.

There’s nothing fancy about Bad Art Club. It requires no experience, skill or talent (in fact, less is more). There’s nothing to learn or achieve. No one knows what’s going to unfold in any given workshop, and that’s part of the magic! Participants are constantly surprising themselves and each other with their creative contributions. The BAC experience helps build the resilience we need as a community to face challenges and navigate change.

Bad Art Club is for everybody. We have 9-year-olds creating alongside 75-year-olds. We have introverts, extroverts and gifted folks. We have members of all identities, races, orientations and backgrounds. We have professionals and recovering perfectionists…

When we come together for the simple act of making the worst art we can possibly make, meaningful connection sneaks in through the side door.

Connection is not the goal of Bad Art Club, it’s the outcome.

Meet Jules

(or Julianne, for long)

Jules wearing a blue beret, white shirt, patched wide-leg pants, holding blue sunglasses, sitting on a stool inside a room with wooden floor.

Jules is a brave and tenacious beginner, a conduit for connection amongst people from all walks of life, and a flame-tender of the creative fire in us all. She has numerous certifications that give her credibility as a Transformational Facilitator, but really her lived experiences are what matter most.

Something unique about Jules is that she gravitates toward the things she’s most afraid of. Being a beginner makes her feel alive, present and connected to the present moment. Having cultivated trust in herself and the unknown, Jules emanates a calm, playful resilience that is both warm and infectious, and that’s the spirit of Bad Art Club—a playful space for people to explore new ways of being and expressing themselves.

Jules’ resume is dynamic and rich. From her professional background in leadership, coaching and technology, to her personal journey that’s led her all over the world, she has always been bravely herself.

Early on, Jules learned that authenticity is the key to meaningful connection, so she founded Bad Art Club to give people permission to be themselves, together.

Bad Art Club is the truest expression of Jules’ love and empathy for humanity. Now, here are some fun facts about Jules (head over to LinkedIn for the boring stuff).
